Parker's a good helper

Good helper in that she's getting us ready for life with a newborn by waking up at 5am.

I didn't mind the up all nights or early wake up calls much when Parker was a newborn. I have many fond memories of dancing with her in the dark at 3am trying to stop her tears and laying with her as she played on her playmat.

But when you have a toddler who consistently sleeps from 930pm to 7/730am you expect that sleep pattern. Your world is turned upside down when they decide to wake up crying at 5am. I plead with her to go back to sleep. She responded by screaming and kicking. I got the point.

Who me? I cause no trouble. Never ever.

I was able to score some early morning cuddles out of the deal since she wanted to be rocked back to sleep which was lovely but I'm dragging today.

Good thing I think she's pretty darn cute.

I don't know about everyone else but this week has been dragging by for me. I've hit that point in my pregnancy where I'm utterly exhausted so getting through the work day and then coming home to a super wild child has me drained by bed time. Bring on the weekend. Parker's swing set is to be installed tomorrow and should be done by Saturday so I'm pumped. I'm sure we'll have a pumped up baby on our hands too :)

  1. I'm not sure why it isn't the weekend yet because I'm pretty sure Tuesday felt like Thursday. Longest week EVER!! I hope Ms. Parker sleeps well tonight!
